What these do

• Keeping you signed in. Ends when you close your browser, or after two weeks if you chose "Remember me" at login. Cleared when you sign out.
• Protecting your account. Confirms that forms and requests really came from you, and carries confirmation messages between pages.
• Remembering which account you're working in, so you don't have to reselect it. Kept until you clear your cookies.
• Remembering that you acknowledged this cookie notice, whether you did it from the banner or from this window, so the banner doesn't come back for one year.
